Description
Aster Novi-Belgii 'Brigitte' is a richly flowering autumn aster that will beautify your garden with a profusion of semi-double, soft lilac flowers with a radiant yellow centre. These enchanting flowers appear in late summer and early autumn, usually from September to October, and create a wonderful explosion of colour in your garden during the later months of the year.

At around 60-80 cm tall, 'Brigitte' is ideal for the centre or back of borders. The plant attracts many bees and butterflies, making it not only pleasing to the eye but also a valuable contribution to biodiversity in your garden.

Before planting Aster Novi-Belgii 'Brigitte', it is advisable to soak the roots in water for 3-6 hours. Then plant the roots shallowly (1-2 cm deep) in a sunny spot with well-drained soil. This aster is low-maintenance and thrives best in full sun, although it can also tolerate light shade.

After flowering, you can prune it back to promote compact growth and ensure strong flowering the following season. With its abundant blooms, soft lilac hues, and appeal to butterflies and bees, Aster Novi-Belgii 'Brigitte' is a wonderful addition to any autumn garden.
