Planting bee-friendly flowers
At BULBi, we offer both bee and butterfly friendly spring and summer bloomers. This way, you can enjoy a colorful garden for much of the year and bees and other insects will benefit longer from the flowers you plant. Planting spring flowers will provide an appetizer for the bees, but planting summer flowers is just as important, as this will guarantee food for the insects until the first frost. Summer flowering plants should be planted in the spring, after the last night frost. You will then enjoy the beautifully colored flowers in the summer and the butterflies, bees and other insects will be grateful to you for the food.
Butterflies like to sit in the warmth of the sun and live off flower nectar. They fly from flower to flower for a delicious snack. Therefore, plant plenty of different flowers in groups together. When planting the bulbs, keep for planting distance 3x the width of the bulb, and also keep for planting 3x the height of the bulb. The rhizomes, seeds and bulbs can be planted into the soil manually. For planting bulbs, it may be helpful to use a bulb planter.
